SeisMike Air-Coupled Seismic Wave Microphone Array
This case study presents SeisMike, a modular air-coupled seismic and multi-sensor platform for near-surface geophysical evaluation. The system uses a MEMS microphone array with DAQlink 5 recording to evaluate concrete and asphalt conditions, including pavement thickness, curing, voids, and high-speed roadway inspection. The study also highlights the importance of separating and muting direct air waves so useful Lamb wave energy can be preserved for accurate dispersion analysis.
