Universal Encoder 3
Overview
The Universal Encoder 3, or UE3, is a source control encoder designed for ultra-high production vibroseis acquisition. It works with SourceLink 3 software and Force 3 vibrator controllers to improve communication, timing, fleet coordination, and overall production. UE3 is compatible with both cabled and nodal recording systems and supports conventional and advanced acquisition techniques, including Slip-Sweep, HFVS, ZenSeis, variable slip with distance, interleaved starts, and ISSS. The UE3 is optimized for Seismic Source source electronics, including the Force 3 Vibrator Controller, Boom Box 3, and Remote Trigger Module 3. It can also help bring advanced source control operation to older INOVA, ARAM, and Sercel recording systems.

Benefits
- UE3 helps crews run more sweeps per shift, manage more vibrators per crew, and support ultra-high production vibroseis workflows.
- Multiple radio support allows the UE3 to communicate efficiently with large fleets of vibrators across demanding field conditions.
- When used with SourceLink 3, the UE3 helps provide better QC displays, source coordination, group status, COG targeting, and production reporting.
- UE3 is compatible with nodal and autonomous recording systems, making it a key part of modern GPS-synchronized seismic operations.
- UE3 can work with older INOVA, ARAM, and Sercel recorders while adding advanced source control capability.
- With up to 16 fleets per UE3 and unlimited UE3 units per crew, the system can scale for large seismic acquisition programs.
