PPV Viewer Software

Overview

The PPV Monitor system provides real-time vibration monitoring and peak particle velocity alerts for seismic source operations. It is designed to help crews monitor output force in the field and identify possible contract or vibration-limit violations before they happen.

The system uses a Sigma 4 seismograph node and an Android-based tablet. The operator places the Sigma node near a protected structure, asset, or resource, then monitors source output on the tablet while the vibrator or seismic source is operating.

PPV Monitor provides real-time data, real-time alerts, location tools, field comments, and daily reporting. It helps protect structures and assets while supporting contract compliance during seismic acquisition.

Features

Benefits

Prevent Contract Violations
  • Real-time PPV alerts help crews respond before vibration levels exceed project tolerances.
Protect Structures and Assets
  • The Sigma node can be positioned near buildings, infrastructure, or sensitive resources to monitor vibration exposure during source operation.
Improve Crew Communication
  • The PPV monitor operator can warn the source operator when output approaches violation status.
Document Compliance
  • The system logs both violations and non-violations, helping create a record of monitored acquisition activity.
Speed Up Field Deployment
  • Android tablet operation and portable Sigma hardware make the system easy to move and quickly redeploy.
Improve Quality Control
  • Event Monitor analysis tools help review recorded data, detect events, analyze anomalies, and generate reports.
Create Clear Reports
  • Daily reports, event logs, amplitude graphs, WTVA displays, and PPV summaries simplify project documentation.
