Overview
The U·Node 2 is a robust and versatile nodal seismic recording system designed to modernize existing Sercel-equipped crews and provide flexible active or passive seismic acquisition. The system transforms legacy 408, 428, and 428XL FDU and DSU equipment into a modern nodal recording platform with GPS timing, removable memory, Wi-Fi, and cellular networking.
Each U·Node 2 supports up to 120 single-channel FDUs or 40 three-channel DSUs, with unlimited U·Node 2 units per spread. The system supports continuous recording for passive monitoring, triggered acquisition for shot records, and hybrid operation for large exploration or engineering projects.
U·Node 2 systems can operate as stand-alone nodal systems or supplement existing Sercel acquisition equipment. Real-time QC, field data offloading, Vscope 3 software, Observer monitoring, and SourceLink integration provide flexible acquisition and monitoring capabilities for both small crews and large projects.
