GeoDAQ 5-24
Overview
The GeoDAQ 5-24 is a high-resolution, 24-channel portable seismograph designed for stand-alone monitoring, refraction surveys, and distributed seismic reflection systems. It combines high-speed 24-bit ADC performance, compact size, low power operation, and rugged field construction.
GeoDAQ 5-24 is compatible with 61-pin spread cables and geophones, making it well suited for near-surface, engineering, refraction, and small-crew seismic applications. Vscope software provides acquisition control, data QC, and file storage through industry-standard Ethernet.
The GeoDAQ 5-24 can operate as a small stand-alone seismograph or as part of a larger multi-unit acquisition system. It supports active-source recording, passive monitoring, automated event detection, downhole sensors, and larger source systems such as vibroseis, dynamite, and mechanical impulse sources.

Benefits
- GeoDAQ 5-24 is compatible with 61-pin spread cables and geophones, making it easy to deploy for conventional near-surface seismic crews.
- The system can be used for refraction, reflection, passive monitoring, downhole acquisition, automated event detection, and stand-alone seismic recording.
- Compact size, hammer switch triggering, and mesh Wi-Fi support make the GeoDAQ 5-24 useful for small, lightweight field crews.
- Multiple GeoDAQ units can be connected together through Ethernet and Wi-Fi for larger high-channel-count systems.
- High dynamic range, low noise, wide bandwidth, and 24-bit acquisition help capture clean seismic data in demanding field conditions.
- Built-in instrument and sensor tests allow crews to verify both the seismograph and the geophone spread before and during acquisition.
- Continuous recording, cellular data support, and LTA/STA event detection make GeoDAQ 5-24 suitable for remote monitoring applications.
